Who We Are

Breastfeeding World was founded in 1998 by Ame Mendoza. Ame is a Certified Lactation Educator and mother of two
breastfed babies and now is the Operations Manager for the company.

In addition to running our website, we exhibit at numerous baby fairs and breastfeeding events. Ame is a mother of two
who experienced difficulties throughout the duration of her breastfeeding experience with her first child. The baby had a
suck problem that required pumping up to one hour a day in addition to the time required to breastfeed the baby. Out of her
struggles Ame invented The Hands Free Breast Pump Bra™ and licensed it to Leading Lady, Inc. who is gratefully
acknowledged.

“When I encountered overwhelming nursing problems with my first born I was on the verge of giving up breastfeeding,

Helping mothers obtain the tools and information they need
to continue breastfeeding is the mission of our company.

In early 2002, Breastfeeding World expanded our product line in an effort to meet the various needs of nursing moms and
we now we offer more than 50 products for the breastfeeding mother. In early 2003, Ame attended Lactation Educator
courses with the goal of adding a breastfeeding information base to the site to better serve our customers.
